Hi everyone - having travelled to Bali 8 times before (the last being 8 years ago) - looking for newer accomodation in Legian / Seminyak areas. We are a couple with an 8 year old and will probably travel September/October of this year.
Had thought about villa style accomodation but looking quite expensive - any ideas???
Would really appreciate any suggestions - Regards, Caron
Looking for 4 star accom Legian or Seminyak - any ideas??
for villas, i like The Villas, The Dusun or The Kunja. all pretty much designed by the same people and very similar in design.
for a cheaper alternative, you may want to look at Bali Ayu Villas. they also have a public pool, which may be good for your son to mix with other kids.

Depending on your budget. I have just booked a variety of accom and am shocked at the price increase. I havent been able to get anything 4 star under around $250 a night for 2. I ended up booking Surati villa for $250 aud ($170 USD). They also operate Adami at around $320 AUD a night ($250 USD). Had trouble getting accomodation. Wanted DYnasty for a couple of nights for my daughter but that was booked out at around $150 a night. Ended up with all accom - Discovery Kartika , SUrati and LBH all around $250 a night.
Thank you so much for the information!!! I really appreciate it.

I would recommend Kumala Pantai - a beachfront hotel at Legian, but very near Seminyak. It%26#39;s not four star, but would definitely be three-and-a-half star and it%26#39;s very family friendly. There are two massive pools, a great beachfront restaurant where you have breakfast, beautiful tropical gardens and it%26#39;s very close to some great restuarants, shops and spas. I think it would be ideal with an 8 year old and he or she will meet other children whereby if you stay in a villa there may not be any other children and you could feel a bit isolated. I am also going to Bali in September/October and am staying at Kumala. You can email them direct on kumalapt@indosat.net.id You had better book quick, they are a very popular hotel and book out.
