Scuba diving.

Hi, I%26#39;ve read about the surfing and surf shops in Bali but, what about scuba diving? Prehaps more importantly, how clear and cold is the water around the island, similar to Phuket? Regards Phil.

Scuba diving.

There is great scuba diving and snorkelling along the Amed area on the north-east coast of Bali and over at Nusa Lembongan an island off the coast and about an hour%26#39;s boat trip away. The diving at Amed is fabulous. Crystal clear warm water (I was there last October) and you can dive on the wreck of an old US warship that was sunk off the Amed coast. Diving and snorkelling at Nusa Lembongan is also great but the water can tend to be a bit cool as it%26#39;s very deep ocean.

Scuba diving.

Padangbai is also a good place to do a few dives. And of course there%26#39;s Nusa Lembongan to look for Mola mola. The waters are clear although some places like Tulamben can get a little crowded. You will generally find better diving in Indonesia than Thailand.
