I wanted to highly recommend a bike trip company, Happy Bike - http://happybiketour.com/home.html. It%26#39;s owned and operated by the tour guide, Made, who is wonderful. He accommodated all of our requests as we were two families biking with four small children. He and his staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. The bike tour is beautiful, the roads are not busy, and the villages you ride through are incredible. The food at the breakfast stop wasn%26#39;t the best but the lunch was great. If you%26#39;re looking for a really great activity call on Mate!!!
Biking in Bali with kids
hi can you please tell me how much you paid we are going to bali in april and that sounds like fun.also how long did the bike tour take.
Biking in Bali with kids
It was $350,000/adult plus $100,000 for each child. the adult charge is standard across all the bike tours but his child fee was lower than the others (they wanted to charge between $200-250,000). We were picked up at 8:30 and got home around 3pm. I would eat some breakfast before you go as it takes a while to get to the breakfast place and the food was okay.
The bike ride itself was a little more than 2 hours. The two older children (3yo) were fine the whole time. My 19 month old fell asleep so I got into the support car with her and they came to pick up my bike. And it%26#39;s mostly gentle downhills with a few uphill climbs that you can either bike or walk up. Made, the owner and guide, is very flexible with what you want to do. He usually stops for more photos and to talk about Balinese life in the villages but with our little ones we stopped less and for shorter periods of time as they would get antsy but he understood that and let us set the tone a bit. Yet he still answered all of our questions and we learned a lot. Hope this is helpful!
Wow, that sounds really great. We have a 7 year old and 4 year old and I%26#39;m really keen to try this with them. So is there a car that follows incase our 4 year old starts whinging that she is too tired to go any further!
Yes - just ask Made when you book the tour that you need the car to follow in case your child gets wingy. He did it for us and it was no problem at all. The other guide then stays with the bike until it%26#39;s picked up and they he rejoins the group. Our two 3yo%26#39;s really enjoyed it and didn%26#39;t have a problem so hopefully you%26#39;re 4yo will have as much fun!!!
I have read that some bike trips stop at a school
did this one?
hi eflats..did you say $350.000 (dollars) each adult for a days bike trip..that sounds quite expensive to me..nearly 拢250.00 (sterling) where were you staying to organise the trip..I am staying in nusa dua in june and would like to do a similar thing.
Nah, I%26#39;m sure eflats meant 350,000rp which is about $45 Australian. Would be even cheaper for you!
