Hi,
Has anyone been to the Royal Bali beach club at Candidasa? Is it any good?
Thanks!
Royal Bali beach club at Candidasa
It%26#39;s a time share place and I didn%26#39;t stay there, but I went for lunch there a few months ago and checked on their rooms. A little bit run down compare to another time share place in the area, the Bali Shangrila Beach Club. The pool is bigger though, but for a hotel on the beach, I don%26#39;t care so much for the pool as I%26#39;ll just use it to relax from the sun. I%26#39;ll go for snorkelling there instead of swimming in the pool and the snorkelling area also looks better at BSBC beach.

Thanks Ersano, can you tell me what the area is like? What is there to do apart from beach? Any good places to eat?
Thanks again!
My wife and I stayed there as part of our honeymoon trip and really enjoyed staying there. The staff are very accomodating and spoke good english. Anything we wanted they worked hard to get for us, including lobster. I asked if they could get any and the cook called some fisherman and put an order in for us. The next day we had two very nice live lobster for evening meal. The resort is a little out of Candidasa but the drivers available will take you anywhere you would like to go. We only ate at the resort though we saw lots of good resturants in Candidasa.
We had an apartement next to the pool facing our over the ocean. Very nice for the two of us.
We would stay there again. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gyrkin, thanks for the info - what%26#39;s the best way to get to Candidasa from the airport? How far is the resort from Candidasa - is it possible to walk/ bike it or do we have to get a taxi/ car? Many thanks again!
We had a free week here compliments of the time share guys in Kuta. We loved it, the complex is quite small but the rooms are beautiful as is the pool and restaurant. The laneway that you enter from is full of little warungs and very friendly locals though a bit of a squeeze for a car in some places.
Thanks ChickChili, how far is it from Candidasa itself? Did you eat out?
Hi
It is a little bit of a way out but we had hired a car so it wasnt a problem for us. Our whole purpose for staying at Candi Dasa was so that we could use it as a base to explore more of Bali so we didnt spend a lot of time in Candi Dasa itself. We started out always eating out but after a slack day we ordered from the restaurant and the food was so lovely and relatively inexpensive that we ate from the resort more than we would normally do. Though we also ate quite a bit from the bakso and other sellers at the seawall.
Candi Dasa is 85km from the airport, 90 minutes drive through the new highway. Transfer cost from www.advantours.com is Rp. 275.000,-/car one way for the smallest car, seats 6 people without luggage.
Thank you all for very helpful advise/ infos!
Have book a week there in Nov - can anyone give me an idea of how much things cost (dinner for two, day trips on boats etc) so I know how much money to take for a week!
Many thanks again!
