Sorry for the late reply. Hope you%26#39;ve had a good trip. Anyway for next time, I would recommend apartments at Novotel in Surabaya. It is a good value for money for families. 3 bedroom with kitchen and living room cost about Rp 900,000 = RM 360. Kalau semua orang OK, boleh ambik satu apartment lepak ramai2.

abt 30 of us wil be going to surabaya in coming december 2009 for 4 d3n. a long way to go actually. but just need some advice about a place to stay and what to do in surabaya . 3 rooms apt would be very nice and maybe we can take 3 units. it would be a great pleasure if someone familiar could share their experience in surabaya. thanks in advance.

Staying at surabaya would be better if you stay at the city centre as surabaya do not have a comfortable transportation system aside from taxi. there are a lot of 2 star hotel / guest house around tugu pahlawan (the city%26#39;s zero kilometer) but for more decent stay you could go to Narita Hotel, Hotel cendana, etc. Affordable city centre apartment is not availabe i%26#39;m affraid. most of the appartment is away from city centre and attractions.
