Hi there, we are gonna go to Bali for 8 days, don%26#39;t know which area to stay in, we would like some nice beaches for the kids (4 %26amp;7) and for relaxation, we also would like to stay somewhere centeral enough to be able to travel around, explore Bali and do some activities. Would it be Ubud, Musa Dua or where. Can someone help pls.?
Any suggestions for intertaining the kids pls?
where to stay in Bali ?
Ubud is in the mountains, so no beach there, it is the artistic and cultural centre. With 8 days you could probably spend a couple of nights in Ubud as well as a beach area.
Beach suggestions for families would be Sanur or Seminyak in my opinion. Sanur has nice beaches and no surf. There is a reef off the beach which acts as a surf break so the water between the reef and the beach is calm and great for kids. The beach at Semimyak is more exposed.
Some of the larger hotels have kids club to entertain the kids. I haven%26#39;t used this service myself so cannot give an opinion on this aspect. But there is still heaps for the kids without that anyway. The Safari and Marine Park, Waterbom, Bali Zoo, The Bird Park are all good places to take the kids.
Good family choices for Sanur are the Griya Santrian, The Bali Hyatt and the Mercure Resort Sanur. There are other more budget options if that is your preference as well.

Ubud, is centre of Balinese art, paintings, you can visit monkey forest too there, this one I most like, the forest is beautiful.
Bedugul, good view, on the mountains, Ulun Danu temple in the lake of Bratan, fruit market
-If you visit Kintamani area, you may visit en route Tampak Siring, Goa Gajah, Batuan temple, Batur volcano and lake, silversmith at celuk, batik at tohpati, wood carving at mas, where you can buy souvenirs and arts.
