How do i go from Surabaya to Bali the shortest and cheaper way. About how much do I need to spare?

And how far is Surabaya to Bali?

There are several ways for you to reach Bali from denpasar. each having their pros and cons.

the easiest way is by plane, around 1 hour flight, and you will land on Ngurah Rai airport Denpasar (Bali capital city), you just can have a 10 minutes taxi ride to the infamous Kuta beach from there. Plane would cost approximately USD 30 depends on the season. try mandala airlines for the cheapest deals.

you can go by Train also, from surabaya to Denpasar. at the east edge of java island you will be switched to bus (include in ur ticket), cross by 2 hours ferry and continue with another bus ride for 4 hours to reach denpasar. total time needed would approximately 8-9 hours. cost around USD 20

There are also travel agencies that arrange a trip to bali with their own private car. takes about 10 hours and cost USD 20 also

I would also agree that it is better to travel by plane. Just FYI, the road is not like PLUS highway. The road condition is not that good, and the traffic is quite heavy.

You can save a lot of time flying albeit it is more expensive - very well worth the money.
