hello, has anybody been to the safari park we have read alot of mixed review even to the point that people had felt that the animals had been drugged. we would like to stay over at the park for a couple of days and would love to hear if any of you Bali experts had enjoyed or disliked your time at safari park\marina.
We are also interest in visiting the elephant park safari. we understand that these are elephants that have been rescued. could you tell us your experiences. i.e. was the elephants treated well was it a good day out and how much did you pay and would you recommend it.
just in case you are wondering we didnot want to mix up the questions on the one forum. thanking you,
any review on safari park plus elephant safari park
We loved our day at the Safari Park. In fact we thought it was better than Disney%26#39;s Animal Kingdom in Orlando.
As for the ';drugged'; animals, they aren%26#39;t. They ARE very humanised and whether this is a good or bad thing, it does allow people to fall in love with species that they would not otherwise be able to come in contact with. As soon as the animals show signs of restlessness or distress, they are taken back to their enclosure and replaced with another animal who is settled and docile. We were actually impressed with how active the big cats were in the heat of the day. And they are all breeding so they must be well looked after.
We have had experience with a full grown tiger in the USA that, like the animals on display for the photos in the park, would lie dosing for hours while people patted and took photos with him. In fact every Saturday night, he lay dozing with dragster racing cars roaring right beside him. The noise was deafening but he dozed on and was definately not drugged.
