Candi Dasa Xmas 2009 Grand Natia

I am just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Grand Natia in Candi Dasa?We have spotted it on the internet but there are no reviews to see.It looks like a great central location on the beach but would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there.Do they have a fridge,air conditioning etc.Also the Puri Oka Cottages.Any photos and info would be greatfully appreciated.

Hi, I%26#39;ve not stayed at Grand Natia but see my review of Alam Asmara in Candidasa. It%26#39;s lovely and if I can manage it, I%26#39;ll be back there for Xmas 2009. Yes it%26#39;s right on the water, has air conditioning, fridge, great restaurant and staff - hard to beat I would think. Sue

A friend %26amp; I stayed at the Grand Natia back in April, 2008. We were in a ';suite'; next to the infinity pool. There was air conditioning, but no refrigerator. There is a restaurant on-site. However, whenever we finished a meal, they expected payment immediately; said that they could not add it to our hotel bill. Also, whenever we ate on the deck in the back of the restaurant, it seemed as though the entire hotel staff followed us there %26amp; watched us as we ate. Our room was dark %26amp; depressing, oddly decorated, but with an open-air bathroom. We found the staff indifferent for the most part. I would never stay there again %26amp; do not recommend it to anyone.

On the other hand, in May of 2007, I stayed at the Temple Cafe %26amp; Seaside Cottages, which were right on the beach. The rates are more reasonable than those at the Grand Natia %26amp; the rooms were much nicer. There is no swimming pool or refrigerator, but there is air conditioning %26amp; a restaurant on-site. The staff was wonderful.
