Boat from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan

We went to Lembongan for 3 fantastic days in December. We caught the Scootcruise which is the main fast ferry - it only takes 30 minutes. There is the slow ferry on traditional boat which the locals use but it takes about an hour and a half and the sea can get quite rough, so unless you have a strong stomach being tossed about in the sea swell I sugget you pay a bit more and use the fast ferry. This link gives you the times and the prices.

We found them very efficient and they also pick you up from your hotel. Depending on where the hotel is the pick up is usually free of charge.

Have you got accommodation on Lembongan yet cos we stayed in a great bungalow OKA 7 Bungalows which were bed and breakfast and very cheap. The bungalows are set on the hill just overlooking the bay and you have the most fantastic views. Also there are two great restaurants next door and further along the beach are some great restaurants too. For around US$30 we rented a local outrigger boat and the driver took us to several different locations snorkelling - the outing lasted around 5 hours and was worth every penny. If you need any advice about Lembongan or Ubud in Bali drop me a private message. I can send you some photos too.

thanks windfreak, great, helpful advice.

The local boat is a real experience but not one that I would ever want to repeat for health and safety reasons. Its a kind of rickety wood thing packed with people, appliances, animals, everything you can think of. On the day I went over the sea was very calm, but it can be treacherous. If you do go, take a life jacket.

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion %26amp; advice.

But the speed boat cost is very expensive, is out of our budget. Maybe will consider 1 way...

Only will spend 3 days 2 nights at Nusa Lembongan.

scoot 10:30, 1:00 and 4:00 US$ 35 or 330 000r one way 35mins

perama 10:30 10:30 100 000r one way 1 hour

This is a picture of the local ferry from Sanur. Don%26#39;t know that I could do it!

There doesnt look like there would be any drinks service on this boat!

I wonder where the bathroom is?

If you think there is any service of any kind on the local ferry to Lembongan............think again. You have just the basics and you could be spending a bumpy hour and a half sitting next to someone with a smelly chicken on their lap (alive ofcourse!).

We were joking Windfreak. :)
