Wheelchairs in Bali

Can anyone suggest a wheelchair friendly hotel in Bali?

I have a friend wishing to take her father.

Also, which area has the best footpaths to enable them to venture outside the hotel?

cheers

sanur would have to be the best place to get around for someone in a wheel chair. less traffic, the footpaths are a bit wider and %26#39;better%26#39; condition. apart from that there is a fantastic paved walkway stretching the length of the beach. plenty of great restaurants and a selection of shops and local markets. when i have stayed at the bali hyatt there were stays where my youngest was in a stroller we had no problems getting around as they have ramps, lifts and easy access around the hotel with good footpaths and the path leads directly to the beach front and this links with the paved footpath.

personally i feel kuta and surrounding areas are not as suitable for a wheel chair.

There is now a company in Sanur specialising in tours for the disabled, Bali Access Travel

There is also a link to wheelchair suitable accommodation

Legian beach hotel has what they call handicapped friendly rooms with wheelchair access.

I noticed they had a ramp at the Kuta Paridiso, its a nice hotel its in Kuta it has lifts to all floors and to the pool area with lounges to relax in from his chair where he will enjoy the holiday as much as you will, and the things around the area have good paths and access around from markets to beach walking distance to many things like waterbom centro plaza and places to eat I think this place is perfect for you have a look at the site under the stairs to the pool in photos is another entry from the lifts, i think sanur is to far our if you want to be ale to leave your father at the hotel where he will be most happy if you wanted to go out and Im sure your fried will be happy to know hes somewhere safe

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I%26#39;m sure we can come up with something using your information.
