you would be better off posting this question in the Lombok forums.

There is a ton of info there. I proposed to my fiancee on Gili Trawangan so you can imagine how much I enjoyed it there. Type ';Gili Trawangan'; in a youtube search for some cool videos. Also I have a write up at the place I stayed with pics.

gili islands?

we have been to the gilis a number of times and love it. there are three islands to choose from gili t is more crowded but has the best food and accommodation. the other two are quiet but great. all islands have terrific beaches and snorkeling/diving.

there is an active nightlife scene on gili t but little on the others.

we are there again this april.

yes worth a visit and a stay.

sounds good. thanks guys

I live there guys.... the island is a beautiful there are three gili there but the most popular destination of tourist is gili trawangan, gili trawangan known as party island it is suit for honeymooner you can try to do snorkeling in the shore the beaches has a beautiful coral and fish you can see a various fish there if you feel hungry there are a lots of a good restaurant there the food is delicious but I prefer a Local foot restaurant they is very cheap I like that because I%26#39;m local boy he he he he...

there is a little tip for you.

During at the harbor don%26#39;t let the local porters carry your luggage for whatever reason. they often to charge expensive and even unreasonable price, if you have to pay, the cost of porters is 1000-2000Rp/bag don%26#39;t buy any mosquito coil from kids at the harbor they are trying to sell thing expensive as they can, you can buy those stuff in gilitrawangan there are a lots of shop that sell those stuff with better price. don%26#39;t try to look at the thing that they offer and don%26#39;t make any promise ';maybe later'; they can recognize your face and ask for the promises. When you turn from the island many kids brings water to wash your foot at first you feel convenient but at the end they ask some money, give them some school needs i.e: pens or writing books it%26#39;s better not to let them do anythong to you. I hope my tips can help you for your holiday to lombok..
