Best beach/relaxing place in Bali

My husband %26amp; I are travelling to Bali for the New Year this year after a stop over in Hong Kong.

We have only 6 nights in Bali which is not enough I know, but better than nothing! Our plans are to stay in Ubud for 2 nights, then a place in the forest (Sarinbuana eco lodge) for 2 nights and then we want somewhere after that where we can relax by the sea, with nice accommodation, things to see and some natural beauty. Ideally we would want a few restaurants etc but not too many and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

We are currently undecided where would be best for the last 2 nights, options are;

Sanur

Candidasa

Lovina

Nusa Lembongan.

Does anyone have any plus or minus points about any of the places? Which is most beautiful?

Thank you for your help!

Best beach/relaxing place in Bali

Hmmm, well Candi-Dasa is very relaxing, nice relaxed atmosphere, very very quiet, everyone%26#39;s asleep by about 9:30pm, a few restaurants but not too many. The minus point is that there%26#39;s no beach there, but if you can get a seafront hotel, it%26#39;s quite nice to chill out by your pool and look out to sea and the little islands off the coast. The water incidentally is crystal clear, perfect for having a dip or snorkelling. If it influences you leaving, you%26#39;re about a 2 hour drive from the airport.

Sanur has a nice beach, and is also very relaxed, but there are lots of restaurants there (personally I think this is a good thing) so might not meet your criteria exactly.

Of the two though, I%26#39;d plump for Sanur and just ignore all the restaurants there.

Thank you for this- it is helpful. I seem to be able to find better places to stay in candidasa (smaller, more boutique style) than in Sanur. I am really torn between the two.

Is Nusa Lembongan too far for 2 nights/ worth the boat journey? It looks like the beaches are nicer.

Sanur does have some lovely little boutique hotels, but your money does go that little bit further in Candi Dasa.

It%26#39;s only a 40 min boat journey to Lembongan, so it%26#39;s certainly possible for a couple of days. Not been to Lembongan so I can%26#39;t really advise you on this; I%26#39;d be looking at the time of your flight home from Bali and seeing whether you can easily make it back from Lembongan to get your flight.

sanur - tick

candidasa - as per noodle

lovina - too far last two nights - beaches so so

nusa lembongan - nice beaches, swim at high tide

but i vote for padangabai.. not on your list ?? check out link ... has %26#39;best%26#39; beach, snorkel, good food, good hotels and an hour approx from airport.
