Besakih or Bumi Ayu

Hi again

Thanks for all the input so far.

My family of four (2 adults and 2 kids aged 7 %26amp; 5)

have narrowed down our choices for accommodation in Sanur to the...

Besakih Hotel (in two adjoining rooms, or the

Bumi Ayu (in a bungalow room)

Snooky you suggested not to have standard rooms at the Besikah, do you know if these have improved?

Realise Bumi Ayu is not on the beach, but is it still near restaurants and shopping.

Both hotels look fairly close to each other.

Has anyone stayeded at the Bumi Ayu lately, we have a bungalow room booked for the four of us. Are we going to be cramped?...should we go for two rooms?

I appreciate all your help and good advice

Besakih or Bumi Ayu

Hi!

Our family of 8 are staying at Bumi Ayu from 23rd June to 3rd July. Can%26#39;t wait!

We have booked standard and deluxe rooms.

Will do a review when we get back.

Besakih or Bumi Ayu

Great Christine

I would love to know what you think of the location in regards to shopping, restaurants (local food) and taxis. Let me know what the rooms are like?

Have a wonderful trip with your family.

Have stayed at both, just returned 2 weeks ago from the Besikah. Loved the hotel, location right on the beach. Could stroll out at night to many hotels with a good pathway to the restaurants and beach market.Saw families there with parents eating dinner and children playing in the sand. Besikah is not really a children%26#39;s hotel, no playgrounds, lovely pool, but older clientile.

Bumi Ayu is across the road, down a walkway to the hotel. Stayed there quite a few years ago, friendly little hotel but didn%26#39;t like the dark walkway to the hotel. Take a torch with you if you decide on this property.

Besikah does not have interconnecting rooms as we asked, thinking of the grandchildren. We stayed in the ground floor of the 2 storey stand alone bungalows. They also have single stand alone bungalows. Our friends checked out the deluxe bungalows and the standard rooms that are adjacent to reception. They said both were good. Deluxe has a separate area that houses the fridge, coffee making facilities (No coffee, tea or sugar is supplied), cupboards, then a door to the bathroom and another door to the bedrroom, bit strange - little room is too small to sit in or use for anything.

When we stayed at the Bumi Ayu we were in the run of house room - bungalow that has 4 rooms to it, 2 on the bottom and 2 on the top. Can%26#39;t remember large bungalows around. You could email the hotel and ask for size. Can%26#39;t imagine any room large enough for 4.

Found 2 fixed price shops at the Sindhu markets, number 28 and 29, for when you are over bartering!!

Enjoy your trip.
