I%26#39;m looking to holiday in Bali (Kuta area) in early July with my 15 year old daughter. Looking for a good deal accommodation wise and I don%26#39;t want a crappy hotel. Something airconditioned with a pool preferably Bali-type decor. Any good ideas? Or what to stay away from?

Try the Satriya Cottages, a little Balinese oasis just off the Kuta beach or if you want more people for your daughter to interact with the Bali Garden Hotel.
Stay away from the Bounty and the Barong as they have a large contingency of teens wanting to party hard. :)

Why not consider Poppies Cottages in Poppies Lane 1. Really beautiful Balinese style hotel consisting of individual thatched roof bungalows. Really great position, close to markets beach and restraunts. Inside the compounds of property is very quiet and peaceful. Just check out the reviews they are all positive.

Thee are two local websites that I like for hotels
1. www.indo.com They have a wider range of hotels. and
2. www.itravelindonesia.com . They have a more limited range but they give you a fairly good write up and some outrageously frank reviews.
