I highly recommend Adventure Indonesia. We just returned from a trip to Pangkalan Bun (Orphan Center) and Tanjung Puting (Camp Leakey). Adventure Indonesia made all the arrangements and did a fabulous job. We even met Dr. Birute Galdikas.

Hi Marleen,

My wife and I were also thinking about visiting an orangutan sactuary on our trip to Borneo. Did you make it to either of the ones you mentioned? Thanks.

Hello

We went to Borneo in May and used a company called Exotic Borneo

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Tel: (6088) 245920; Fax: (6088) 245902;

Email: tour@exborneo.com

for tours including Sepilok. We stayed just outside Kota Kinabalu and they arranged the flight to Sandakan too.

Although not based in Australia, they were very efficient to deal with via email.

I%26#39;m pretty sure they had offices in other areas of Borneo too.

Have a fantastic time.

The sanctuary at Tanjung Punting (Indonesia) is excellent. I have traveled all over Indonsia, and it remains one of the best things I%26#39;ve done.

There isn%26#39;t any need to organize through a travel company. It is easy to do the trip yourself and you%26#39;ll pay a fraction of the cost you%26#39;ll pay to a travel agency.

If you mean the BOS Rehabilitation Clinics in East and Central Kalimantan, Intrepid Tours has a river cruise that visits the Central Kalimantan Centre outside Palangkaraya

Not sure whether this is any help...but there%26#39;s a wonderful trip to Tanjung Puting national park and Camp Leakey research centre ...www.agoodplace.co.uk

If you mean Tanjung Puting National Park in Pangkalan Bun - Central Kalimantan/Borneo Indonesia. It%26#39;s natual home for wild orangutan habitat. anjung Puting National Park is natural wonder located in district Kota Waringin Barat and Seruyan, in the southern part of the Island Borneo, Indonesia.
