Diving from Tanjung Benoa/ Spots in Nusa Penida? Nusa Dusa?

Hi Everyone,

Off to Bali in a month for a few days and am keen to get some diving done. Unfortunately (not through personal choice) will be based in Tanjung Benoa so most diving spots will be quite remote. I have some experience diving (although haven%26#39;t had the chance to do it in a few years). I was thinking Nusa Penida spots could be attempted, but I understand trips all leave from Sanur. Not entirely sure how long it takes to get to Sanur (around 1h probably). Is it worth bothering with or are there decent spots I could go to that are a little closer (some dive clubs advertise Nusa Dusa but it doesn%26#39;t look like the most exciting spot). What about Sanur itself?

Thanks, all feedback would be greatly appreciated

i dont dive (snorkel) but nusa penida is suppose to be an excellent dive site with a number of sites to dive at. other places which aren%26#39;t too far away are padangbai and candidasa offshore islands and nusa lembongan.

Also take a look at Amed on the east coast, several dive sites in the area including the Liberty shipwreck just off the beach at nearby Tulamben

Thanks to the both of you... Aren%26#39;t Amed and Tulamben a fair distant away. As I am staying in Nusa Dusa (for a wedding) means I have to come back every night...

Thanks again

Yeah Amed is approx 2 1/2, maybe 3 hours away depending on traffic. If you wanted to stay overnight I can recommend some budget accomodation for you.
