Best place to stay in Tuban

Hi - we stayed in Tuban years ago at the Rama Beach Cottages and liked them but I notice they are decidedly up market now. Going back with our 12 year old daughter. Am considering:

1. Splurging there again

2. Febris

3. Bakungs%26#39;

4. Green Garden Hotel or their resort and spa (are they the same residence??)

5. Bali Rani

Our minimum requirements are:

pleasant pool area

prefer cottages but may not be attainable

gardens

balcony/verandah

not too noisy

Any ideas?

Best place to stay in Tuban

Febri%26#39;s is a good choice. I%26#39;ve stayed there a few times. The rooms are huge and spotlessly clean. Really nice restraunt, friendly staff, walking distance to everything. I enjoyed my stay there and think its good value for money. But Im sure anywhere you stay you will have a fantastic time, unless its Legian Paradiso..

Best place to stay in Tuban

We stayed at the Santika and Kartika last year. Kartika has a great pool area and right on the beach. Good family atmosphere. We are staying at Santika for a couple of days next week, looking forward to going there again. All close walking distance to major shops, etc. Have a great time..

i stayed at the febris in november and it was great value for money. large pool, spotlessly clean rooms and good position. the staff are extremely efficient the buffet breakfast is fresh and the choice is huge. the green garden hotel (sister hotel) is good value for money also but often booked out. i have friends that stay at bali rani (they are there at the moment) and they enjoy holidaying there. best to e mail a few places and check prices and availability as the more popular places book out quickly these days.

The Santhika has beautiful grounds although the beach is disappointing. Breakfast was spectacular and the rooms comfortable.

My sister stayed at the J Hotel. Very stylish and well worth the splurge. She paid USD 55 and booked it at

Two suggestions ..... 1. Ramada Bintang - nice big resort, lovely gardens, huge pool, step out onto beach. Short walk along beach to Kartika Plaza Shopping Centre. 2. Dynasty - good for kids, variety of eating places on site (good Irish Pub).
