Reservations necessary in June?

First trip to Bali is coming up in June. We plan to visit a few different spots (Sanur, Ubud, Tirta Gangaa, Lovina, Amed, Mushroom Bay??? Not all of those, but have not decided yet). I would really, really like to not book all the accommodations in advance. Is that likely to work out ok in June?

Thanks.

It would make your own life easy to pre-book a hotel for the first few days of your holiday. This way you have somewhere to go first up.

This then leaves you with the option of going where and when you want.

Agree with Cempaka about the first few days, I would also book for Ubud and Sanur, the other places are quieter so you should be fine. Also depends on when you are travelling in June for places like Ubud and Sanur, if it%26#39;s the early part, you may be ok, but if it%26#39;s the later half, that is the start of the peak season and a booking may be to your advantage.

Maybe if you book Ubud and Sanur for the first and last days of your trip, that would work and leave the middle free to go where and when you please.

June is the start of the high season, so it would prbably be advisable to book. But, if you are going to visit some quieter and more remote areas like Tirta gangga, Lovina and Amed you probably will not have to book. I visited Amed last October and while it was really busy in the coastal areas, it was quiet in Amed and we just turned up at a hotel we liked and got a room with no problems. I would definitely book Ubud and Sanur and maybe also Mushroom Bay (which is on Nusa Lembongan).

I appreciate the information. This gives me a good working plan. Thanks.
